A Psalm of Gratefulness

This 118 page book was designed, written and published by the author. The book is an expression of gratitude to all those along the way who guided, inspired and provided opportunities for him to use his gift of singing. It is the story of his years of singing as a child, his years in college, his experiences of winning in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, his years as a concert singer which included brief appearances on both the East and the West Coasts and includes stories of some of his many concerts in the Midwest. Throughout the book the author tells of the rich and warm experiences he had singing with his children as they grew up.

In his chapter entitled "Returning to Grand Forks," he pays special tribute to the people of the prairie for whom he performed for many years. In the next to the last chapter, "In Simple Praise," he writes of the effects of the devastating flood of 1997 which destroyed his family's home, and momentarily destroyed his desire to sing. But, again, there were those who came along who encouraged him to sing again. At the age of 71, he made a CD of hymns for his grandchildren. While performing for the Centennial Celebration at Waldorf College, he was inspired by his accompanist, Dr. Timothy Schmidt and they made a CD, Resting In Jesus," in the fall of 2005.

In the final chapter, "The Beyond Within," the author writes of the truimph of faith.
